Beaver women's basketball: Barlow's milestone keys St. Cloud win

St. Cloud State junior guard Talisha Barlow scored her 1,000th career point and the Huskies held off Bemidji State 87-80 in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference women's basketball game Saturday afternoon at Halenbeck Hall.

St. Cloud State improved to 7-7 overall and 2-5 in the NSIC. Bemidji State is 9-6 overall and 3-5 in the NSIC.

After trailing 34-33 at half-time, St. Cloud went on a 31-9 run early in the second to pull away. The Beavers got back with five late.

Bemidji State was led by Taylor Davis who scored a career high 31 points.. She was 14 of 21 from the field, scored 11 straight points early in the first half and had 20 of Bemidji State's 34 points at half time. Katie Pettit added 18 points and seven assists, and Shannon Thompson finished the game with 11 points for the Beavers.
