Beatrice Illg, 66, of rural Frazee, passed away Oct. 21, 2008, in Merit Care Hospital, Fargo.
Beatrice was born June 4, 1942, in Park Rapids to Charles and Elsie Keranen. She attended Wolf Lake and Menahga schools. She worked at Swift and Co., Detroit Lakes, for several years and married Norbert Illg on Aug. 15, 1970, in Wolf Lake. They continued to farm at their rural Frazee residence. Beatrice enjoyed her "Old Time Music," playing her accordion and listening to music with a host of friends whom she saw on a regular basis. She was very fond of animals, her dog, chickens and their beef cattle. She also enjoyed scouting deer every evening with Norbert and their dog, and the annual deer hunt with her husband and her nephews Scott, Kevin and Brian and great niece Samantha and friends.
Beatrice is survived by her husband, Norbert; a sister, Bernice Evert (Jerry Johnson), Sabin, and several nephews, great nephews and great nieces.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a great niece.
Visitation will be on Fri-day from 4-7 p.m., with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., in the Furey Funeral Home, Frazee, and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, Oct. 25, at 11 a.m. in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Evergreen, with Reverend Richard A. Boehnke officiating.
Burial will be at the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Frazee.
