The Bemidji baseball team is coming off a productive weekend which saw it win twice on Saturday.
Bemidji thumped Sartell 14-1 in five innings in its opener and the Jacks continued their fine play later in the day when they rallied to down Sauk Rapids 7-5 in eight innings.
"We had a good day on Saturday and should be feeling good about the way we are playing," said BHS coach Mike Fogelson. "Today's goal will be to stay focused. We want to throw strikes, play good defense and score some runs."
Cody Rutledge will get the mound start. The sophomore is 0-1 but pitched well in his loss at Grand Rapids.
"The way the team is playing is encouraging," Fogelson said. "There are always things we want to get better at and our task is to keep progressing so we are playing our best baseball at the end of the season."
