BASEBALL Doubleheader at SMSU moved to Thursday
MARSHALL — The time and date of the BSU baseball team’s Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference doubleheader at Southwest Minnesota State has changed.
The doubleheader, originally scheduled to be played today at Alumni Field in Marshall, has been pushed back to Thursday due to rain in the forecast in the southwest Minnesota region.
The game has also been moved to Ronken Field, on the campus of Augustana College in Sioux Falls, S.D.
The game time is yet to be determined due to Augustana’s scheduled home doubleheader against St. Cloud State today — which may also be pushed back a day if it rains today in Sioux Falls.
If the teams were to push the games back a day, BSU and SMSU would be playing after AC and SCSU complete its doubleheader.
Bemidji State (19-18, 13-11 NSIC) is coming off a 1-3 road series at then-No. 22 St. Cloud State. BSU won the series finale 3-2.
Southwest Minnesota State (21-20, 12-13 NSIC) swept an NSIC road series April 25-26 at Minnesota Crookston.
The Beavers are in eighth place in the NSIC standings, while the Mustangs sit ninth.
