Bemidji will face Perham or Fergus Falls today at 1:30 needing a win to move to the title game Sunday at 1:30.

Should it lose today, it would face a losers bracket contest tonight at 7:30.

Thursday's opening games found Detroit Lakes upsetting Moorhead 10-7 in a 5-4 match-up.

Fergus beat East Grand Forks 14-4 in the 3-6 pairing.

Jake Urban had four with Mitch Hendricks adding three and Kevin Murphy. Collin Leif and Cole Bardwell two.

Leif's included a three-run homer in the big fourth plus a double. Urban and Murphy also doubled.

Matt Schneider went the shortened distance on a one hitter for his fifth win in six decisions.

Ryan Stevens (4-1) will get today's start with Murphy (3-1) pitching the third contest, hopefully on Sunday.Ernie Heifort (2-1) Booster Russ (2-0) and Urban (2-2) are also available for a start if needed.
