The Bemidji Mudcats enjoy the home field spotlight tonight when they host league leading Grand Rapids at 7:30 in a single game at BSU.
The Indians bring a 4-1 Arrowhead League record into play, one game ahead of the Cats at 3-2. Nashwauk, Duluth and Hibbing trail.
The Rapids took the first meeting of the pair 3-0 at Legion Field last week with manager James Brubaker out hurling Sam, Anderson.
That pair may likely go again tonight.
Anderson gave up all three runs in the first inning, then blanked the Indians for the next five with Doug Peterson finishing up with two scoreless frames.

Bemidji is coming of a sweep at Duluth Sunday winning 4-0 behind Paul Fenner and 5-2 with Tyler Norland on the hill. Overall they stand 13-5-1.ews at home

The VFW will be home for double headers with Fergus Falls today at Sagedahl and Perham tomorrow at BSU, both district twin bills.
The Fergus pair is a replay of two games rained out June 16.
It will be the second meeting with Perham Bemidji split the first pair, both 5-4 contests with Bemidji taking the opener.
Manager Brad Johnson should have his pick of his mound staff with Chase Vogt and Jake Urban listed for yesterday's twin bill at Fargo. Matt Schneider, Kevin Murphy and Ryan Stevens are bets to go today or tomorrow.
The Bemidji VFW emerged 2-1 from the weather ravaged Robert Montgomery Invitational at Grand Forks this weekend.
Bemidji was one of only two VFW teams in the Legion tournament geared to major city Legion B Teams and small town varsities.
A tornado threat wiped out Friday's card with Bemidji beating Winnipeg 11-3 and Edina 11-7 in the only Saturday games played before rain deluged Kraft Field.
Sunday Bemidji completed its three game stay, falling to the Fargo Bombers 13-2.
Brad Johnson's force face a busy week traveling to Fargo today for a pair, hosting Fergus Falls in a district twin bill at Sagedahl Wednesday at 3 and Perham in another at BSU Friday at 5.
Bemidji is 3-1 in the early district play.
Bemidji trailed Winnipeg 3-1 after three Saturday before scoring seven runs in the fourth and three in the fifth to end the game.
For walks produced a first inning run.
In the fourth, a walk, singles by Ryan Stevens and KrisBerndt and a hit batter sent home a run. Mitch Hendricks singled a second and Cole Bardwell singled in two more,
Another pair crossed on Collin Leif's single and Booster Russ singled in the seventh.Hits by Hendricks, Kevin Murphy and Russ plus two walks sent three more across in the fifth.
Murphy scattered six hits for his first win.
Hendricks and Russ had two hits, Russ driving home four runs.
In its second game, Bemidji scored six times in the third to overcome Edina's 7-5 lead.
Hits Bardwell and Murphy following a walk produced a run in the first.
Bemidji matched four Edina runs in the second when two walks and a hit batter filled the bases.
Hendricks plated one when his infield fly pop up was dropped. Bardwell singled in one more and Murphy plated the third with a sacrifice fly. Leif singled in the tying run,
Edina scored twice in the third before Bemidji exploded to win.
Stevens doubled and scored on Trey Johnson's single. Hendricks singled in the tying run and after a Bardwell single, Murphy doubled in two more., Singles by Leif and Russ each plated a run .
The game was called after three by the time limit.
Ernie Heifort got the win in relief .Bardwell had three hits and Murphy and Leif two.
Bemidji battled Fargo to a near standoff into the fifth before the Legion B Team exploded for 10 runs.
Leif singled in a first inning run and Bardwell's one bagger produced one in the third for a 2-1 lead.
But the Bombers scored twice in the fourth before wrapping up the game in five.
Bardwell had a double for Bemidji.
Chase Vogt and Jake Urban get the starts at Fargo today, against a younger team than the Bombers.
