The donation supports the construction of an indoor healing garden that will be located at North Country Regional Hospital. The garden is one of seven items that are a part of the Excellence in Healthcare package to enhance healthcare services and facilities for our region.

A healing garden brings the elements of a natural environment to the practice of modern medicine. Healing gardens are designed to reduce stress for patients, staff, families, and visitors; improve patient health; and provide opportunity for visual solace, a connection to nature and a sense of peace.

Other items in the Excellence in Healthcare package include GeneXpert System lab equipment, bedside medication verification, Same Day Surgery TVs, an outdoor healing garden, a dietary management system and patient room renovations.

To contribute to the project, call the NCHS Foundation at 333-5515.
