Melissa Bahr of Bemidji, daughter of Kent and Joy Bahr, and Jonathan Mayhak of Lexington, S.C., son of Scott and Kari Mayhak, announce their engagement and upcoming marriage Saturday, July 23, in a private ceremony.

The bride attended Northwestern College in St. Paul, Minn., where she studied elementary education. The groom attended the University of South Carolina and is a computer programmer for Clemson University.
The couple will reside in Columbia, S.C.
