Casebolt was sentenced today Tuesday, Dec. 14, after a Clearwater County jury had convicted him in October on additional counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct perpetrated upon a 12-year-old girl. Judge John Melby committed Casebolt to the Commissioner of Corrections to serve 173 months in prison consecutively to the first sentence.

Casebolt will be on a lifetime of conditional release, must submit a DNA sample and register as a sex offender. He is ordered to complete a sex offender evaluation at the St. Peter State Hospital, as well.

The cases were prosecuted by Clearwater County Attorney Jeanine Brand after one victim's relative and a mandated reporter contacted the Clearwater County Department of Human Services and Bagley Police Department in February.
