A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for Feb. 5.

Hare was arrested after Daniel Paul Loftus, 29, of Bagley, was stabbed this week in Mahnomen County. Loftus was in guarded condition Friday afternoon at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, N.D.

District Court Judge Tamara Yon ordered Hare to be held on $75,000 cash bail for unconditional release or $50,000 bond/$5,000 cash bail for release on numerous conditions. Hare also was ordered to have no contact with Loftus and submit to DNA testing.

Hare was in custody Friday afternoon for Mahnomen County in Pennington County Jail.

At about 11:48 p.m. Wednesday, the Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting a fight in progress at Riverland Apartments in Mahnomen County, according to the press release. At about the same time, the Sheriff's Office received another 911 call reporting a stabbing and the victim was being brought to Mahnomen Health Center.

Upon arrival, deputies determined that a stabbing had occurred at the apartment where the fight had been reported. The victim, Loftus, was treated for a stab wound at Mahnomen Health Center and later transferred to MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, N.D., where he underwent surgery.
