Bad inning costs Twins in Toronto

TORONTO (AP) -- A rare display of power from John McDonald gave Ricky Romero's Rookie of the Year campaign a timely push.

McDonald hit the first three-run homer of his career, keying a six-run sixth inning, and the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Minnesota Twins 6-3 on Tuesday night.

"One bad inning kind of blew us away tonight," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said.
