Autopsy scheduled for infant

A 3-month-old infant died Wednesday in Beltrami County.

An autopsy is scheduled to determined the cause of death.

According to a press release from the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office:

Emergency personnel responded to a Port Hope Township residence and found the parents performing CPR on the infant. The infant was taken by Bemidji Ambulance Service to North Country Regional Hospital, where the infant was pronounced dead.

An autopsy is scheduled at the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office to determine the cause and manner of death.
