Arnold F. Anklam
Arnold F. Anklam, 90, of Bemidji, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2014.
He was born on August 12, 1923 to Arnold P. and Minnie (Nassen) Anklam in Ceylon, Minnesota. After graduating from high school he enlisted in the US Navy and toured the Atlantic, Mediterranean and Pacific waters. Returning from the service he attended Dunwoody Institute and the Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis. He married Judith Nordlund of Clearbrook, MN in 1950. He spent several years working in a childrens home in Muscatine, IA. He also did Christian lay ministry in several churches. While in Minneapolis he had a mail order business with health products. He and his wife enjoyed camping and traveling and doing church work.
He is survived by his wife and one nephew Gary Anklam of Fairmont, MN and other family relatives.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Crossroads Church in Bemidji, MN. (next to the Bemidji Bowling Alley)
