Area girls basketball teams see tonight's games changed, BSU game still scheduled

Tuesday night's predicted storm has forced Section 8 high school officials to alter the girls basketball playoffs.

Bemidji was scheduled to travel to St. Michael-Albertville Tuesday night for the quarterfinals of the Section 8-4A tournament. That game, and the other quarterfinal match-ups, have been postponed until 7 p.m. Thursday.

In Section 8A, Tuesday's play-in games are being played but the times have been moved up.

Blackduck, the No. 9 seed, will play at No. 8 Mahnomen at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Laporte, the No. 10 seed, will visit No. 7 Cass Lake-Bena at 6 p.m.

Both games were originally scheduled for 7 p.m.

Tuesday's winners will join the remaining teams for the quarterfinals which will be played Thursday at Bagley and at Bemidji State University.

BSU Men's Basketball

Wednesday's NSIC men's playoff game between No. 8 seed Wayne State and No. 1 seed Bemidji State is still on.

The Wayne State team arrived in Bemidji Tuesday morning.

The game is scheduled for 7 p.m.
