FOOTBALL: Beavers win Mineral Water Bowl for first ever postseason victory

Area businesses fined by MPCA


BEMIDJI -- The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency recently concluded 60 enforcement cases in 41 counties throughout Minnesota during the first quarter of 2014. Penalties from all 60 cases totaled just under $345,000.

Several area companies were assessed fines as a result of the investigations, according to a release from the MPCA.

Bemidji Bituminous was fined $4,190 for stormwater violations;,Minnesota Recycle-It of Bemidji was fined $1,500 for hazardous waste violations and Ernster Construction in Walker was fined $600 for subsurface sewage treatment systems violations.
