Anson "Bo" Peter Beaulieu Sr., 53, of Bemidji, died Monday, March 23, 2009 at Innovis Hospital in Fargo, N.D.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Veteran's Memorial Building in Cass Lake with the Rev. Nick Hill officiating. A wake will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Veteran's Memorial Building and will continue until the time of the service. Burial will be in the spring in the Sugar Bush Township Cemetery in rural Bemidji under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.
The pallbearers will be Glenn Sanders, Joshua Beaulieu, Robert Carlson, Roy Beaulieu, Cody Lafrinier, William Beaulieu, with alternates Albert Luna, Paul Preston, Ken Beaulieu Jr., Donahue Wittner, Glenn Morrison and Jody Lafriniere.
He was born June 16, 1955, to George and Ida (Fairbanks) Beaulieu in Cass Lake. He attended schools in the Bemidji area. He moved to Minneapolis in 1970, where he worked at various jobs. He married Kathy Hanson; they later divorced. He moved back to the Bemidji area in 1981, where he worked as an automotive mechanic until 1986, when an accident left him paralyzed. He enjoyed racing cars, going to Moondance Country Music Festival and hunting with the guys. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by a son, Anson Beaulieu Jr. of Bemidji; daughters, Penny Lafriniere of Bagley, April Thompson of Bagley and Dawn Beaulieu of Cass Lake; brothers, Roy Beaulieu of Bemidji, David Beaulieu of Bemidji and Larry Beaulieu of Cass Lake; sisters, Margaret Hardy of Cass Lake, Shirley Beaulieu of Bemidji and Donna Beaulieu of Bemidji; grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Kenneth "Wing" Beaulieu Sr., Robert Holstein and a nephew.
