The other four companies participating in the two-year training collaboration are Consolidated Precisions Products of Bloomington, BTD Manufacturing of Detroit Lakes, Donnelly Custom Manufacturing of Alexandria and Dee Inc. of Crookston. The collaboration also includes the MJSP and grantee Enterprise Minnesota.

"This training will enable line leaders, supervisors and managers at the participating manufacturing companies to expand productivity and capacity," said DEED Commissioner and MJSP Board Chair Dan McElroy. "In addition, Enterprise Minnesota will acquire the ability to give the continuous improvement companion series training to other Minnesota companies."

Enterprise Minnesota will work with Lean Associates Inc. and Central New York Technology Development Organization to develop training in problem solving, process confirmation and job safety. Employees and trainees will participate in a continuous improvement companion series, customized for each business. Trainees will receive a certificate of completion for each training module completed.

The MJSP offers technical, financial and job training assistance to businesses, communities, educational institutions and workers. The board brings businesses with specific education needs together with educational institutions to design customized training programs.
