BEMIDJI - Since winning the Birchmont Women's Championship in 2008, Amy Anderson of Oxbow, N.D. has played golf on a world-wide stage.

This summer her travels have taken her to Scotland for the Curtis Cup and to the Czech Republic for the University World Golf Championships.

Her next major trip will begin Aug. 6 when Anderson will participate in the U.S. Women's Amateur tournament in Cleveland.

For the past few days, however, Anderson has been content to watch her friends play the game as she has caddied for Cydney Hasselberg in the Women's Championship field and Bill Carlson in the Men's Championship division.

Both golfers play collegiately at North Dakota State where Anderson will be a senior this year.

"I just needed a week off from competitive golf but it was nice to come here to watch and caddy," Anderson said. "It's nice not having to stress out about playing."
