All tickets go on sale Tuesday for Taste of Home Cooking School
BEMIDJI – The famous Taste of Home Cooking School, attended by nearly 5 million people over the last 20 years, is coming to Bemidji next month.
The event, presented by the Bemidji Pioneer, will be held April 30 at Bemidji High School. VIP tickets are on sale this week, and the remaining tickets may be purchased beginning Tuesday, March 26.
Tickets are available at the Bemidji Pioneer office, 1320 Neilson Ave. SE, or by calling 218-333-9200 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Taste of Home culinary specialist Guy Klinzing will return to present the cooking school in the BHS Auditorium at 7 p.m. Klinzing delighted Bemidji’s last Taste of Home audience in 2011 with his cooking, singing and humor.
The event will begin at 4:30 p.m. with a vendor show in the BHS Commons. Auditorium doors open at 6:30.
VIP tickets cost $35 and will include choice of best seats in the house, a meet-and-greet with Klinzing, a “Desserts” cookbook by Taste of Home, complimentary appetizers and beverages in the VIP room, lavender paraffin hand treatment provided by Hairnaturally, eligibility for a VIP-only door prize and early admission to the auditorium. Only 150 VIP tickets will be available.
Remaining tickets will be priced at $10.
All ticket holders will be eligible to win one of many door prizes provided by national and local sponsors. Each attendee will receive a reusable Bemidji Pioneer gift bag filled with national and local products and coupons and the Taste of Home recipe book featuring all 10 of the recipes that Klinzing will create.
Every year, more than 300 Taste of Home Cooking School events attract up to 300,000 people. With cooking demonstrations by the Taste of Home team, led by Klinzing, attendees will learn seasonal recipes that are perfect for every holiday and occasion, and every skill level. Like all Taste of Home recipes, these recipes were shared by people who cook at home as a way to bring family and friends together, and can be made with readily available ingredients to create memorable meal moments. Plus, learn tips and tricks that will help you save time and make the most of your cooking experience.
