Algae could provide fuel for community

As reported in the Bemidji Pioneer, our lakes have a larger than normal amount of algae this year. This could be used to our advantage and allow us to take a step to become energy independent. Perhaps some of Mr. Obama's unemployed minions could harvest and process the algae providing fuel for our community this winter. We could show OPEC we don't need their oil; we have our own growth.
