Albert A. Srnsky, 93, of Osage, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Detroit Lakes.
He was born May 25, 1915 in to Frank and Anne (Trnka) Srnsky in Goodridge, where he received an eighth grade education in a country school near his home. His family moved to the Tabor/Angus area in the 1930s. He worked on the family farm and on neighboring farms.
He married Delvina Boutain on Oct. 29, 1940. The couple settled in the Angus area where they farmed and raised five children. In 1963 they sold their farm and moved the family to Kent, Wash., where he found employment in the public school system as a head maintenance man. In 1977 he retired and they returned to Minnesota. They lived on their daughter and son-in-law's farm in Osage during his retirement.
He is survived by his wife; five children: Janet (Philip) Broesch, of Hayden, Idaho, Kenneth (Nancy), of Elkins W.Va., Patsy (John) Randall, of Osage, Kathy, of San Antonio, Texas, and Randy, of Kent, Wash.; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Rosalie Callery, of Kent, Wash.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Bill and Emil; and a sister, Alice.
Casket bearers: David Cameron, Josh Lage, Mike Thoreson, Delacey Randall, Randy Broesch and Jerod Randall.
Funeral service: 11 a.m. today (Saturday), Feb. 21 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with Father Thomas Friedl officiating. Organist will be Joy Horejsi. Music will be provided by the St. Peters Alleluia Choir.
Interment: St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Cemetery, Park Rapids.
