Adeline Dolly Johnson, 92, of Blackduck, died Thursday, March 5, 2009, at North Country Regional Hospital in Bemidji.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Faith Lutheran Church in Blackduck with the Rev. Ray Klug officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Blackduck in the spring.
Cease Family Funeral Home of Blackduck assisted the family with arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Marla Morris, Gary Morris, Diane Johnson, Robert Johnson, Jeff Sydow and Cody Gross.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cindy and Gary Pederson, Julie Grotberg, George and Wilna Morris, Les and Betty Sydow and members of the Hornet Helping Hands Club.
She was born July 28, 1916, to Frank and Ethel (Barclay) Prihoda in Roseau, Minn. She attended school in Warroad, Minn., through the ninth grade. She married Weldon Johnson April 8, 1942, in Roseau. They moved to Blackduck in May 1945 and purchased the Peterson Farm in Hornet Township. After many years, they moved off the farm to Blackduck. After her husband's death, she moved to Senior Apartments. In 2003, she moved to Good Samaritan Center.
She enjoyed cooking, helping neighbors, playing cards and taking care of her flowers, especially her violets. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Blackduck and its Dorcus Circle, Hornet Helping Hands Club and Blackduck Senior Center.
She is survived by her niece; nephews; special friend, Elaine Baazard of Blackduck; and numerous cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Archie Prihoda and Oliver Prihoda; and two sister-in-laws.
