The hotel, which is organizing donations and merchandise contributions for gift packages for troops in Afghanistan, Iraq and other bases worldwide, said it has enough money and donations for 50 boxes.

Originally, the local AmericInn was planning to send 25 care boxes, so additional military addresses are needed.

AmericInn, 1200 Paul Bunyan Drive NW in Bemidji, also will host an event to pack the boxes and write letters to troops. The event will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday.

For details, call the AmericInn at 751-3000.
