FARGO — An Oklahoma man is charged with peddling heroin here after contacting an informant on and allegedly offering him samples of the drug to give to potential drug dealers.

Deyonn Andrea Bowler, 35, of Taft, Okla., was charged Friday in Cass County District Court with one count of delivery of heroin after at least two prior convictions, a Class A felony.

According to a search warrant filed Nov. 27, a criminal informant contacted local law enforcement when Bowler contacted him via the informant’s ad.

The warrant states that the informant went to the Fargo Inn and Suites followed by members of the Cass County Drug Task Force.

There, according to a police report, Bowler gave the informant 0.4 gram of heroin.

The drug was given free of charge as a sample for a potential distributor, according to court documents. The informant also said Bowler had a roughly baseball-sized chunk of heroin in the room.

Bowler’s bail was set at $100,000. His next court appearance is set for Dec. 27.
