Across The Street, Across The Sea

The Blackduck Evangelical Free Church family would like to invite the community to its 2011 Missions Festival, Oct. 7-9 at the Free Church.

The featured speakers are Jorge Osorio, who serves in the Hispanic Ministry at Hope Evangelical Free Church in Monticello. Osorio is a native of Peru. He served as a youth pastor in Peru for eight years before coming to the United States in 2008.

Steve and Kathy Austvold serve the North Central District of the Evangelical Free Church by mobilizing missions. Steve has served all over the world including Romania and the former Soviet Union and spent many years with Trinity Equipping Center and ReachGlobal. Kathy has worked with missionary children's education in Madrid and Caracas, and has joined the team for EFCA Touch Global Justice Initiative which is involved in helping women escape from sexual slavery in India

Arnie and Cathy Sutton serve the New Tribes Mission as Overseas Educational Consultants. Arnie is also Chairman of the Care and Education Department for NTM. They are based out of Big Falls. Arnie is a Blackduck native and Cathy grew up in Big Falls.

The weekend schedule is as follows:

Oct. 7 at 7 p.m., Jorge Osario

Oct. 8 at 7:30 a.m., Men's Breakfast at Countryside Restaurant; 10 a.m., Women's Brunch with Kathy Austvold; 5:30 p.m., International Potluck and 7 p.m., Steve Austvold.

Oct. 9, 9:15 a.m., Sunday School and 10:30 a.m., worship service with Arnie Sutton.
