3-year-old boy rescued from Eddy Lake in northwestern Minnesota
ERHARD, Minn. (AP) -- A 3-year-old boy was hospitalized after family members pulled him from a lake east of Erhard in northwestern Minnesota.
The Otter Tail County sheriff's office says the boy was visiting grandparents on Eddy Lake when he vanished Friday. His family searched for him for 10 to 15 minutes before finding him in the water.
He was taken by ambulance to Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls, where doctors were able to regain a pulse. He was then flown by helicopter to MeritCare Hospital in Fargo. N.D., where he was in the pediatric intensive care unit Saturday.
A sheriff's dispatcher said no further information was available Sunday, but that more details may be released Monday.
