The annual Brrrmidji Polar Daze offers a wide range of activities today. Here's a list of today's events as part of the week-long celebration:
Lumberjacks & Flapjacks, Paul Bunyan Senior Activity Center, 216 3rd Street NW.
On-site registration for the 5K Polar Challenge Run/Walk, which starts at 10:30 a.m. at First Lutheran Church, Ninth Street Northwest and Bemidji Avenue.
10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
A Church Wide Snow Day features skiing and snowboarding. Tubing will be offered from noon to 6 p.m. at Buena Vista Ski Area, located 12 miles north of Bemidji on County Road 15.
11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Beltrami Humane Society will host an all-you-can-eat chili feed at the Bemidji American Legion.
The Bemidji Jaycees Brrrmidji Plunge will start at 1 p.m. on Lake Bemidji behind the Paul and Babe statues. Registration will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Plunge participants are required to have a $30 minimum pledge to take the plunge. Prizes will be awarded based on pledges raised. All participants will be required to sign a waiver at the event.
Build Your Own Sled Derby at the Tourist Information Center, 300 Bemidji Ave.
1 and 7 p.m.
The Bemidji High School show choirs, Vocalmotive and La Voce Ballo, will perform in the Bemidji High School Commons.
Registration for YPN's Halfway to Dragon Boats cornhole tourney. Play begins at 4 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, 116 4th Street NW.
