Department of Corrections spokesman John Schadl says the two were picked up by Goodhue County sheriff's officials and are headed back to the Red Wing facility.

The 16- and 17-year-old boys went missing between Sunday night and Monday morning at the minimum-security facility.

Schadl says the younger teen was serving time for assault and the older teen has a burglary conviction.
