19-year-old Hastings, Minn., woman killed in car crash Sunday afternoon

A 19-year-old Hastings, Minn., woman, Aleeza Saande, died Sunday afternoon in a crash near Lake City.

Saande was south of Lake City, traveling southbound on Highway 61, when her car crossed the centerline and was broadsided by a charter bus about 1:30 p.m.

Saande was driving a 2002 Ford Focus.

The 2010 Hastings High School graduate is a student at Winona State University.

Two passengers on the bus were transported from the scene. The driver of the bus, Peter Biffert of Winona, was not injured in the crash.
