14th annual Kraus-Anderson Walleye Classic June 7
The 14th annual Kraus-Anderson Walleye Classic presented by Seven Clans Casinos is a competitive, live-release walleye fishing tournament and returns June 7 to Lake Bemidji and Lake Irving. One hundred two-person teams will again compete for more than $60,000 in cash and prizes, including a first prize of $12,500. The event is the largest payout for a team walleye tournament in Minnesota. Anglers will start their engines at 7 a.m. with the weigh-in starting at 3:30 p.m. at the Lake Bemidji Waterfront.
Team registration is $480 per two-person team. The event features family activities throughout the day, food court and a raffle drawing for a new Lund/Mercury boat package provided by Corner Sports of Bemidji. Weekend festivities also include the boats parade, beginning at 5:00 p.m. June 6. The 2013 tournament champions Carl Knutson and Brad Davis are slated to be the Grand Marshalls.
Established in 2001, the annual event has become one of northern Minnesota's premiere fishing tournaments, raising more than $500,000 for charities since its inception. All proceeds benefit Bemidji-area nonprofit. For more information, contact Tracy at 766-6625 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
