Sanford Health honors nurses

BEMIDJI — Sanford Health of Northern Minnesota is the largest employer of nurses in the region, with 430 nurses, according to a press release. SHNM recently honored nursing staff with a Nursing Recognition Reception.

The following area nurses were honored:

— Amy Magnuson, RN Health Coach, received the 2013 Innovation Award

— Aaron McCullough, RN on the Medical Surgical Orthopedic Unit, received the Rising Star Award

— Karla Eischens, R.Ph., pharmacist, received the Friend of Nursing award

— Ken Smith, RN, received the Florence Nightingale Award

In addition, several nurses were honored for achieving certification in their area of specialty during the past year including, Jill Ashline, Dennis Barrett, Darla Borgen, Jane Butterfield, Joyce Fairbanks, Andrea Flack, Claire Frenzel, Julie Gronhovd, Nancy Guimaraes, Rebecca Hansen, Judy Larson, Bridget McNeil, Tessa Schlosser, Julie Souder and Michelle Svihel.
