Hockey Day is coming to Bemidji; 13th annual event set for winter 2019

Bemidji Wellness Challenge set

Dr. Mike Headlee, new owner of Explore Chiropractic, has announced that Explore Chiropractic and the Bemidji State University Gillett Recreation and Fitness Center have teamed up again to co-sponsor the fourth annual Bemidji Wellness Challenge in 2011. Participants will compete to win $1,000.

The challenge will kick off from 6-7:30 p.m. Feb. 7 at the Rec Center at BSU.

Assessments will begin Jan. 24. The last day to register is Feb. 1. Participants should register early to be guaranteed assessment times. Registration forms are available online at or can be picked up at Explore Chiropractic on the corner of Third Street and Minnesota Avenue Northwest in downtown Bemidji.

The Bemidji Wellness Challenge is a 10-week program for individuals who are looking to improve all aspects of their health and well-being. Participants will be given three Wellness Assessments. Through physical assessment and emotional health questionnaires, participants will be given score for their overall health (wellness score). The assessments will be given within two weeks prior to the beginning of the program, midway through the program and at the end. The participant with the largest increase in his or her wellness score will win $1,000.
