Bemidji Community Arena Corp. leaders hope to begin construction this year on a second ice rink at the BCA.The new rink would be built parallel to the existing one off Division Street, and would boast more locker rooms, a two-story training area, and seating for a few hundred people. A Thursday pursuit involving the Bemidji Police Department resulted in a vehicle going into the Mississippi River. A Bemidji Police Department vehicle stopped short of the river, just over the edge of a steep decline. The incident was north of Carr Lake, south of the city limits.
