Police and fire report for April 25
The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:
2:08 a.m. Tuesday, 1800 block of Birchmont Drive Northeast. After responding to a report of property damage, officers found a ping pong table with the screws removed and missing from a section of the table.
10:51 p.m. Monday, Bemidji State University's Bridgman Hall. A bicycle was stolen.
1:52 p.m. Monday, Best Western Motel. A homeless man was removed and informed not to return.
12:04 p.m. Monday, 1000 block of Irvine Avenue Northwest. Tires were slashed.
9:37 a.m. Monday, 300 block of Fourth Street Northwest. Posters were glued to the doors of buildings, causing damage to the paint.
10:27 a.m. Monday, 1000 block of Second Street Southeast. A caller reported a neighbor was blowing leaves onto her property.
The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office responded to the following calls:
7:37 p.m. Monday, North Plantagenet Road Southwest. A homeowner shot and killed a beaver without a permit. This case has been forwarded to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
2:41 p.m. Monday, Great Divide Road Northwest, Puposky. Theft from a detached garage.
9:51 a.m. Monday, Cenex South. Gas drive-off.
The Bemidji Fire Department responded to the following calls:
8:34 a.m. Sunday, 400 block of Beltrami Avenue Northwest. Cooking grease spill; contained with sand.
5:22 p.m. Sunday, Bangsberg Fine Arts Complex, Bemidji State University. Person stuck in elevator.
6:32 p.m. Sunday, 200 block of 14th Street Northwest. Medical call.
1:23 p.m. Monday, Roosevelt Road. Grass fire.
4:06 a.m. Tuesday, Irvine Access Loop Southwest. Alarm.
8:40 a.m. Tuesday, 700 block of Irvine Avenue Northwest. Smoke alarm.
