Police and fire report for March 11
The Bemidji Police Department responded to the following calls:
11:19 p.m. Friday, 16th Street Northwest. A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving while impaired.
7:59 p.m. Friday, 1000 block of Paul Bunyan Drive South. A male reported a theft.
6:27 p.m. Friday, 2400 block of Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest. A gas drive-off theft from PetroServe was reported.
1:38 p.m. Friday, 1400 block of Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest. An intoxicated male who was passed out on a park bench at Paul Bunyan Mall was removed upon request.
7:48 a.m. Friday, 800 block of 26th Street Northwest. A child was found wandering around an apartment building. The mother was located and arrested on a warrant. The child and his or her siblings were placed with a family member.
The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office responded to the following calls:
9:14 p.m. Sautrday, 26800 block of Debs Road Northwest, Pinewood. A man was found passed out in a vehicle in a roadway in Debs. A search of the vehicle revealed suspected methamphetine paraphernalia. He was arrested on suspicion of a fifth-degree controlled substance crime and fourth-degree DWI.
4:49 p.m. Friday, 6800 block of Division Street West. About 400 to 550 feet of welding lead was stolen.
11:58 a.m. Friday, Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest. A 51-year-old man was arrested after deputies attempted to stop him for a traffic violation and he fled in his vehicle, eventually stopping at Orton's gas station, where he was arrested.
